# STRIKE Platform Token

## Overview

`$STRIKE` is the official platform token for the Strike protocol.

The token began as a community-launched token on [flap.sh](https://flap.sh). Strike accepted that support with gratitude and used the momentum around the token to help build the product that exists today. Since then, `$STRIKE` has become an integral part of the platform itself, so it is no longer accurate to describe it as only a community token.

## What You Should Know

**`$STRIKE` is now the official platform token for Strike.**

The token was launched by the community, not originally by the Strike team. That history remains important. The change is that Strike now officially adopts `$STRIKE` as the platform token for the protocol going forward.

Strike is being built for the long term. Officially adopting `$STRIKE` is intended to align the protocol, product, and community more closely as the platform grows.

## Platform Role

`$STRIKE` is already part of the Strike platform experience:

* STRIKE-denominated prediction pools
* STRIKE credit and reward campaigns where configured
* Community alignment around the protocol
* Future platform features and incentives as they are announced

More details on the token's platform role will be shared through official Strike channels and reflected in these docs as they are finalized.

## Strategic Contributions

Strike may share token supply with people or teams who have been, or may become, key strategic partners for the protocol.

These distributions are contributions and invitations to keep building with Strike. They are not commercial deals, sale terms, or guarantees of future work.

## Flap Acknowledgement

Strike's early growth was made possible by the Flap ecosystem. We are grateful to the Flap team and community for building the products and infrastructure that helped Strike gain its initial traction.

## Holder Tracking

Strike tracks `$STRIKE` holder addresses, balances, and holding durations on-chain. This data may be used for points, rewards, credit campaigns, or other platform programmes where announced.

Holding earlier and longer can be reflected in those programmes when relevant. No action is required from holders for passive on-chain tracking.

## Important Notes

* Official adoption of `$STRIKE` does not by itself create new claim rights, redemption rights, or guaranteed rewards.
* Specific campaigns, incentives, or distributions will be documented separately when announced.
* Always use the official contract address above when checking the token.

Strike's goal is to grow the platform and align that growth with the community around `$STRIKE`.
